It’s time to enjoy antique hunting, visit the many historical sites such as Melville’s home Arrowhead, Edith Wharton’s The Mount and other "cottage" estates. Of course when winter comes , the area’s 8 downhill and 23 cross country skiing locations provide good choices for invigorating sport.
